• You have 5+ years of experience as a Web Developer with expert-level knowledge and experience with PHP, MySQL, GIT, Codeigniter + learning / integrating with 3rd-party APIs. You can be a Full-Stack developer with the “full picture” view but are ok with focusing more on the backend.
• You’re comfortable planning and communicating throughout the day with team members, contributing ideas, guiding them, and developing your leadership potential in the process.
• It’s a PLUS if you have experience with VueJS, Pen-Testing/Security or Defensive Coding, Linux/CLI, and 3rd party APIs like Stripe, Facebook, ActiveCampaign, OpenAI, etc.
• A plus if you have any Dev Team Management experience too (The Right Person in this position could grow into a Management/CTO level role)

About the Position

• You are a Web developer with a deep knowledge of PHP, and experience working with WordPress or doing WordPress related site maintenance.
• You empathize with users and are customer-focused.
• You have good English communication skills.
• You can demonstrate proficiency in GIT, htaccess, file permissions for security purposes, new plugins, 301 redirects, server admin, and experience with the Codeigniter Framework.
• You like to learn about new plugins, web apps, and various APIs.
• You possess a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
• You can help us update regularly our company’s website,implement tweaks, and help us improve our platform where clients and team members communicate on a daily basis.
• You enjoy working following our workflow while also contributing ideas, constructive feedback, and positive energy to the team.
• Must complete a skill test and 2-week training as documented on our wiki, as given by our assistant.

Requirements for this Position

• Must have a minimum of intermediate-level proficiency in WordPress, as well as some experience with Linux/server admin
• Must have expert level proficiency with PHP/MySQL
• Must be available for team calls via Zoom
• Must be able to contribute with positive, constructive ideas for how to improve your workflow
• Must be able to follow specific directions every week via our checklists and other instructional media used to operate the business with best practices
• Must have a positive, enthusiastic attitude with good organizational skills
• Must have a customer & solution-oriented mindset
• Must be diligent and consistent
• Must enjoy following our work process while working constructively with the team to continuously improve it
  Not a requirement but a PLUS to have:
  Proficiency in Google Analytics
  WordPress plugins like Thrive Themes
  Email marketing apps like ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, and Keap (formerly Infusionsoft)
  Marketing software like LeadPages

Responsibilities

Here’s what the Back-End Developer position looks like on a typical day:

• Check daily for tasks assigned to you via our AutoGrow Web App and Skype. The majority of the tasks are working on creating new features for our web app, fixing existing bugs, and simply making our AutoGrow Web App better.
• Identify ways to streamline our implementation process to save time and deliver results faster.
• Keep data and login information confidential and secure using our encryption best practices.
• Clearly and constructively communicate with our Project Managers through our live chat if you need help with a task assigned to you.
• Collaborate directly with AutoGrow’s founder to update and drive development on our web applications.
• Attend daily sync-ups at 9 am EST (Mon-Fri) through our web app and live chat
  Note: We currently can’t accept applicants who are only interested in part-time work or are not available during our normal business hours (9am EST to 5pm EST from Monday to Friday).
